One of our objectives is to have fun! We understand that primarily learning must be fun. We design our daily lesson plans with fun in mind. Through our daily projects, children can express themselves freely through activities such as movement, music, art, dramatic play, and individual choice. Children will learn about the world and the differences among cultures through science, social studies, and language arts. Of course, the messier a project the more fun they have and the more they learn. Where is the fun of being a child if you cannot get messy?

What We Offer?

Infant Program

Our infant rooms are designed for ages six weeks to 15-18 months of age. The rooms are designed to replicate that of a cozy nursery at home. In the infant room, your child will experience lots of love and nurturing.

Toddler Program

For the toddlers, this age group thrives on new experiences and we will fulfill this need by providing care, direction, and games that will allow them to explore the world without stress or pressure.

Preschool Program

Preschool is the beginning of a very exciting time in the life of a young child. While most may think that we “play all day”, the reality is that the kids are learning through play! They are developing new skills, solving problems and using critical analysis to show them how to cope in an environment where they do not operate alone.

Our infant rooms are designed for ages six weeks to 15-18 months of age. The rooms are designed to replicate that of a cozy nursery at home. In the infant room, your child will experience lots of love and nurturing. Upon enrollment, each infant is assigned to a primary caregiver.  Our infant classroom enrollment starts at 6 weeks old and typically begin the child begin to transition to the toddler room around 15-18 months of age. The decision to make this transition is made cooperatively between each child’s parent and teachers and when the child is developmentally ready.

In the infant room, it is important for our staff members to provide each infant with love, care, and fulfillment of needs and wants; while, simulating their cognitive, and social development. Infants and parents require us to provide a safe, healthy, and attractive environment for them. The environment is arranged to encourage and stimulate new learning skills, physical activities that support large and small muscle development, and positive interactions.

We understand that no two infants grow and develop the same way.  Each infant is on his/her own feeding and sleeping schedule depending on his/her own demands.

Infant Developmental Stages

Infants learn many things in a variety of ways from the moment they are born. Each child will develop their own unique style, but much research shows that growth will occur in four main areas. Starting from birth to 12 months infants grow from being completely helpless to demonstrating the beginning abilities of communicating and self-care.

  • Sensory Motor Development
Sensory and motor development is the gradual process by which a child gains use and coordination of the large muscles of the legs, trunk, and arms, and the smaller muscles of the hands. A baby begins to experience new awareness through sight, touch, taste, smell, and hearing.
  • Language Development
infants learn language by taking in information through their senses. They use their sense of hearing, sight, and touch to process the world around them. By using their eyes, tongues, hands, and ears they learn to mimic the sights and sounds of other people to create their own sounds, safety, and communications.
  • Social-Personal Development
consists of the infants growing awareness of themselves, how they feel about others and how they play and communicate to others around them.
  • Cognitive Development
is the infants growing ability to listen and understand others around them and follow short, easy directions. How an infant thinks, reasons and problem solves are all factors used to assess their individual level of cognitive skills.

For the toddlers, this age group thrives on new experiences and we will fulfil this need by providing care, direction, and games that will allow them to explore the world without stress or pressure.  We have design spaces in the classroom that is inviting and friendly.  Our rooms are creative filled with various toys and games such as blocks, train sets, dress- up play, books, and puzzles, also, children can choose for free choice play.  We aim to work with each child as an individual and ensue that each day is a fun filled adventure.

Summer Camp Program

Precious Little Hands Childcare Center offers a fun, safe, loving, and educational learning environment for our Summer Campers. It is important for the children to have fun during the summer, but it is equally important that they learn through play. Our summer program is team based and activities will coincide with field trips. Campers will have a field day on the last day of summer camp.
